The flower and produce show has been running in the village since 1884 and it is a competition where everyone is welcome to enter. We have a grand marquee for the show exhibits and plenty of stalls for refreshment and entertainment as well as a fun dog show.
Our small committee works each year to ensure the show can continue and that everyone who comes along enjoys themselves. We have but one purpose and that is to put on the show. The only funding we receive is from those who support us each year and from the income we generate on the day. Each year we aim to break even so we can keep putting on the show year after year although we are not always successful. Costs – especially for the insurance and the traditional canvas marquee have risen in recent years but we’re committed to keeping up the village tradition.
I hope to see you at the Show on 5th July 2025 whether you enter a few classes or are just visiting to admire everyone else’s efforts and spend some time taking in some of our stalls and activities.
If you have questions, please contact Leigh Arnold or Jane Wells (see Hints and Tips) who are both available on the day to help you out as well.
